Job Description

Now Hiring – Grounds Technician II (Greenville, SC)

Marathon Staffing is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Grounds Technicians II. This position plays a key role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of local parks, ballfields, and cemeteries. Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Pay: $16.80/hour
  • Location: Greenville, SC

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general grounds maintenance to support the upkeep of parks, ballfields, and cemeteries
  • Safely operate landscaping equipment including blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, and other tools as needed
  • Collect and remove trash, debris, and litter to maintain clean and welcoming public spaces
  • Maintain landscaped areas including grass, shrubs, and overall grounds appearance
  • Support cleanliness and safety standards across assigned locations
  • Work outdoors throughout the entire shift in varying weather conditions
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions
  • Strong reliability and consistent attendance
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Comfortable using or learning landscaping and grounds equipment
  • Ability to lift, bend, walk, and stand for the duration of the shift
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
