Bus Servicer- Team Lead

Job Description
Now Hiring – Bus Servicer Team Lead (Greenville, SC )

Marathon Staffing is seeking a dependable and motivated Bus Servicer Team Lead to oversee the cleaning, fueling, and basic servicing of transit vehicles and the upkeep of transit facilities. If you have custodial or vehicle detailing experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality, this is a great opportunity to step into a hands-on supervisory role in a fast-paced transit environment.

Important Requirement

Candidates must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s License (Class D), a clear driving record, and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Position Details

Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 6:30 PM – 1:30 AM
Pay: $18.14/hour
Location: Greenville, SC 

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee daily cleaning of transit buses (interior and exterior)
  • Supervise and support temporary Bus Servicers in daily assignments
  • Train staff on proper cleaning procedures, chemical use, and PPE compliance
  • Ensure buses are properly fueled and fluid levels are checked and maintained
  • Maintain cleanliness of bus wash bay, break rooms, offices, and facility areas
  • Operate cleaning equipment including pressure washers, vacuums, and chemical systems
  • Maintain accurate records for fuel usage, mileage, cleaning logs, and service documentation
  • Oversee fare box vault handling and ensure security and accuracy procedures are followed
  • Move and position transit buses within the bus lot (no public road driving)
  • Support safety compliance and report hazards or maintenance concerns
  • Assist Fleet Manager with supply recommendations and operational needs

Required Qualifications
  • 1+ year of custodial, janitorial, or vehicle detailing experience
  • Valid South Carolina Driver’s License (Class D)
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to perform physical labor in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills
  • Experience supervising or training staff
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning equipment
  • Ability to maintain logs, reports, and basic clerical records
  • CDL not required but a plus
