Developmental Director - Business Administration

Location: Denton, TX

Marathon Staffing is hiring a Developmental Director - Business Administration to support organizational operations and help drive effective, people-centered business administration.

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented leader who can help ensure smooth day-to-day processes, strong coordination, and a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Education, Training, and Experience

·Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, or related field.

·Minimum of three (3) years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, grant writing, or related work.

·Demonstrated success in managing fundraising programs and developing donor relationships.

·Experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting is preferred.

Registration, Certification, Licensure, and Other Qualifications

  • Must have and maintain a background and criminal history free from any disqualifying offenses as outlined by the Texas Administrative Code (TAC) and the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.


oIndividuals with an out-of-state driver’s license must be able to obtain a driver’s license in the state of Texas within thirty (30) days.

  • Successful completion of all position-specific training within thirty (30) days of employment and ongoing compliance with annual training requirements is required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·Demonstrates strategic analytical thinking, planning and systems management by anticipating organizational needs, aligning resources, and driving long-term, sustainable growth for the organization and its programs.

·Knowledge of the Texas Public Information Act (PIA), HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and handling of sensitive information, and governmental transparency standards.

·Communicates clearly and effectively, using strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills to inform, influence, and engage diverse internal and external audiences.

·Demonstrates initiative by independently managing priorities, meeting deadlines, and advancing projects with minimal supervision.

·Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with donors and external agencies through consistent stewardship and engagement.

·Ensures rigorous grant management and compliance by interpreting requirements accurately and executing all grant activities successfully.

·Executes complex projects with disciplined planning, coordination, and deadline accountability to guarantee timely and high-quality deliverables.
