Our client is seeking a motivated and collaborative Health Program Specialist I to support statewide behavioral health initiatives focused on youth suicide prevention, mental wellness, and community outreach. This position will serve as the primary program specialist for grant-funded projects, acting as a subject matter expert and working closely with community organizations, service providers, and stakeholders to ensure successful program implementation and positive outcomes.

Essential Duties
- Serve as the program specialist and subject matter expert for assigned grant-funded behavioral health initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, stakeholders, and service providers to support program goals.
- Monitor program activities and outcomes to ensure effective implementation and compliance with grant requirements.
- Research, collect, analyze, and interpret public health, behavioral health, and program performance data.
- Identify trends, service gaps, and opportunities for program improvement and expansion.
- Develop recommendations based on research findings and program outcomes.
- Assist with program planning, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing quality improvement efforts.
- Support contract and grant management activities, including assisting with the development and administration of agreements with partner agencies.
- Monitor funding allocations and assist with tracking expenditures to ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Prepare reports, data summaries, recommendations, and other professional documentation for leadership and stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings, workgroups, community events, and outreach activities to promote awareness and collaboration.
- Provide technical assistance and program support to community partners and other stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in health science, behavioral science, public health, social science, or a closely related field; and
- Two (2) years of professional health-related experience that included at least two of the following:
- Researching, collecting, and analyzing data and statistics
- Developing objectives, protocols, and procedures
- Providing health education services to target populations or the general public
- Evaluating program effectiveness and outcomes
- Supporting prevention, identification, treatment, or intervention services related to health and behavioral health conditions
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience with program planning, implementation, management, and evaluation.
- Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to support decision-making and program improvement.
- Knowledge of grant-funded programs, contract administration, and community-based services.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Commitment to confidentiality, privacy, and ethical practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard business applications.
Additional Information
- Location: Hybrid schedule available with offices located in Reno and Carson City, NV
- Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
- Compensation: $30.85-$35.11 per hour, depending on experience
- Work Environment: Combination of remote work and in-office collaboration preferred
