Shipping / Receiving Coordinator

Location: Osceola, AR
Schedule: Full-time (shift and overtime requirements to be confirmed)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire, Non-Exempt
Pay: $18.00–$21.00 per hour

Marathon Staffing is hiring a Shipping / Receiving Coordinator to support a metal-processing operation in Osceola, Arkansas. This position coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments, communicates with drivers and internal departments and maintains accurate shipping and receiving records.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare, review and maintain bills of lading, packing lists, delivery records, load documents and receiving records.
  • Coordinate with drivers, production, material handlers, quality, packing and supervision to support accurate material movement.
  • Verify material identification, order details, tags, labels, counts, weights and shipment information.
  • Enter shipping and receiving information into ERP or inventory systems, spreadsheets and customer platforms.
  • Support driver check-in, dock appointments, trailer paperwork and shipment-status updates.
  • Communicate delays, missing paperwork, damaged material, incorrect loads and documentation issues promptly.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper shipping and receiving files.
  • Help research inventory, order and documentation discrepancies.
  • Provide professional communication to drivers, vendors and internal departments.
  • Protect confidential customer and company information.
  • Follow all site safety and PPE requirements when entering dock, staging or production areas.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse documentation or a related position.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to match paperwork with physical material.
  • Experience using email, spreadsheets, data-entry systems and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple trucks, documents and deadlines without losing accuracy.
  • Professional communication skills when working with drivers, vendors and internal teams.
  • Basic math skills for reviewing quantities, weights and order information.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site and enter dock or plant areas as required.

Helpful Experience

  • Steel, metals, manufacturing or industrial-distribution experience.
  • Experience with bills of lading, freight carriers or appointment scheduling.
  • Experience using ERP, WMS, TMS or inventory-management systems.
  • Forklift, warehouse-floor or material-handling experience, although this position primarily focuses on documentation and coordination.

Work Environment

This position combines office, dock and staging-area responsibilities in an industrial plant environment. The work area may include drivers, forklifts, steel materials, production traffic and time-sensitive shipping deadlines. PPE may be required outside the office.
