3rd Shift Press Operator (Train on 1st or 2nd)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Offset Press Operator - Pressman Level 3 to operate high-speed sheetfed offset presses, including 6-color and 8-color Heidelberg Speedmaster (CD) and Akiyama presses, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for press setup, operation, troubleshooting, and quality control to ensure consistent production and print quality.

Shift

Overnight Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM-Must be willing to train on 1st and 2nd shift.

Pay

$25.00 per hour
+$1.50 per hour shift differential

Key Responsibilities

* Set up and operate high-speed sheetfed offset printing presses

* Operate 6-color and 8-color Heidelberg Speedmaster (CD) and Akiyama presses

* Monitor press performance to maintain production efficiency and print quality

* Inspect printed materials during production to ensure they meet quality specifications

* Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues with press equipment

* Perform basic repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance

* Work closely with production staff to maintain smooth pressroom operations

* Assist in training and mentoring lower-level pressroom employees

* Maintain accurate production and maintenance records

* Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines

Qualifications

* Experience operating sheetfed offset printing presses-Litho printing and web fed.

* Experience with Heidelberg Speedmaster (CD), Akiyama, or similar offset presses

* Experience operating 6-color and 8-color presses

* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

* Ability to meet production and quality standards

* Dependable with a strong attendance record

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Willingness to work overnight shift

Additional Expectations

* Ability to perform duties associated with lower-level pressman roles as needed

* Support Continuous Improvement, Safety, Quality, and Environmental programs

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pressroom

* Perform other duties as assigned within the plant
