Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Buyer! This role is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement and replenishment of products to meet internal and external customer needs. The Buyer will focus on achieving optimal inventory levels, cost efficiency, and reliable delivery performance while supporting overall purchasing operations and product development initiatives.Key Responsibilities
• Manage inventory levels by proactively monitoring and replenishing stocked items
• Create and manage purchase orders, including scheduling and tracking deliveries
• Review inventory reports to identify shortages and adjust orders accordingly
• Procure non-stock items as needed, leveraging existing vendors and identifying new supplier opportunities
• Enter and maintain accurate purchasing data within internal systems
• Expedite backorders and open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
• Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, operations, and distribution teams
• Communicate with vendors to resolve shipping issues, backorders, and excess inventory
• Maintain up-to-date records for pricing, delivery schedules, and order status
• Investigate and resolve accounts payable discrepancies, including proof of delivery
• Approve vendor invoices and negotiate returns for overstock or discontinued items
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a buying or procurement role
• Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., MRP) and spreadsheets
Skills & Competencies
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through effectively
• Proficiency with computer systems and business applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer-focused mindset
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Primarily sedentary work, with occasional standing, walking, or light lifting
• Work environment is not exposed to hazardous or extreme conditions

• This position requires regular interaction with warehouse, receiving, operations, and vendor personnel
