Job Description

2nd Shift Production Lead 

Location: Salisbury, NC

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm–1:00am

Pay: Up to $27/hour (based on experience)

Marathon Staffing is hiring a 2nd Shift Production Lead to oversee daily operations at a wood processing plant. If you enjoy leading teams, improving processes, and keeping production running safely and efficiently, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do:

  • Supervise and lead a team of production workers, providing guidance and support
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet targets
  • Monitor production processes, identify improvement opportunities, and reduce waste
  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed at all times
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality control to support smooth operations
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing training for current staff
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions

What you bring:

  • 3–5 years of experience in production or manufacturing (wood processing preferred)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
