Due to rapid growth, Marathon is Hiring Immediately reliable Welders/fabricators to work at a Steel Mill company located in Chattanooga, TN, and a leading manufacturer in its markets. Learn new skills, meet new people, and work with a great management team.

Job Details:

  • This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity!
  • Monday- Thursday (40-50 hours per week)
  • OT for 1st Shift is on Fridays
  • OT for 2nd Shift is on Sunday evening

·         Regular shift times:

o    1st shift 7a-5:30p

o    2nd shift 6p-4:30a

·         Alternate schedules are offered

  • Pay:  $18.00 per hour - production program is available for
    pay     up to $33/hr for those who perform strongly!  Assessment begins after 30 days for any open production pay positions

Responsibilities:

·         MIG welding using a pulse voltage

·         Custom fabrication will be required to be able to also read blueprints

·         JIG fabricators will do more tack welding- setting up the foundations for the finish welders to “pretty up”

·         Performs other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a safe manner
  • Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions
  • Demonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools and welding equipment
  • Punctual and reliable
