Job Description

Marathon Staffing is seeking a reliable Janitorial General Labor for Newnan,GA. 

Position Summary: The Janitorial General Labor employee is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This position performs general cleaning duties throughout the facility, including production areas, offices, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas. Candidates must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Essential Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors.
  • Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly.
  • Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
  • Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of production and warehouse areas.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages to supervisors.
  • Assist with general labor duties and special cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers when required.

Qualifications

  • Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push, pull, and move cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing facility, warehouse, or industrial setting.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
