Job Description

FAST HIRE! Forklift Operator (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: New London, NC

Marathon Staffing is hiring reliable Forklift Operators who enjoy working overtime when needed. This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate.

Shift: 1st Shift (Monday–Friday)

Pay: $16.00/hr (depending on experience)

What you’ll do:

  • Load and unload trucks of filled or empty bins, barrels, and bottles
  • Stack bins as necessary and move product between storage and production areas
  • Complete required forklift operator paperwork
  • Help minimize damage to equipment and product
  • Perform forklift inspections and report any safety issues to a supervisor
  • Fill the forklift with propane as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • Experienced forklift driver; must be able to pass forklift certification
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow basic directions
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Comfort wearing safety glasses as required
  • Participation in safety meetings and commitment to working safely
