Job Description

Kennel Technician

Location: Taylor, TX

Marathon Staffing is hiring a Kennel Technician to help ensure the health, comfort, and safety of animals in a busy facility. If you’re compassionate, dependable, and enjoy hands-on animal care, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide daily care for animals, including feeding
  • Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to support a hygienic environment
  • Monitor animal behavior and health, and report concerns to veterinary staff
  • Assist with animal restraint during examinations or grooming sessions
  • Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with confidence and care
  • Engage with pet owners by providing updates and answering questions
  • Perform heavy lifting related to moving animals and cleaning equipment
  • Follow all safety protocols to protect both staff and animals

What we’re looking for:

  • Proficient in animal handling techniques, including dog handling and restraint
  • Experience in animal care (experience as a veterinary technician is a plus, but not required)
  • Compassionate, responsible approach to animal welfare
  • Strong customer service skills and clear communication with pet owners
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed
  • A genuine love for animals
