1st Shift Churn operator

Job Description- Prior Manufacturing experience preferred
 Perform repetitive duties to prepare equipment and packages to formulation specification.
Qualifications and Training Requirements
 Minimum education High School diploma. Some secondary or vocational training, or equivalent
experience desired.
 Basic reading and math skills sufficient to allow accurate execution of batch tickets and procedures.
 Train as per Churn Room category in Procedure # SAFETY-TRAIN training grid. Retrain annually in
Hazardous Waste Handling.
 Review department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with Department Supervisor.
Essential Elements
 Work with formulas and department standard operating procedures, be familiar with reading and
understanding them; take written or verbal directions from Department Supervisor.
 Use hand tools, small power tools, scales, pumps, valves, filters, controls, forklifts and drum handling
equipment.
 Be able to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis without mechanical assistance.
 Be able to lift up to 650 pounds with mechanical assistance.
 Drawing-off batches according to formula specifications.
 Assist in loading and sampling of batches as specified on formula.
 Maintain established quality and quantity standards. Follow prescribed safety precautions,
established company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
 Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and questionable
conditions to Department Supervisor. Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly, and
safe condition.
 Maintain daily production and formulation records as required.
 Perform other related duties as required.
