Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description
Seeking reliable, experienced candidates for a 1st Shift, Contract position, Shipping / Receiving Clerk for our busy manufacturing client in Pasadena, TX.

Shipping / Receiving Clerk is responsible for the on-time flow of goods and materials from Receiving into inventory, and from Manufacturing customers. You will provide support to shipping, planning, sales and operations.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

- Receive and unpack shipments, check for accuracy and correctly record the shipment

- Report problems with received goods to Inventory Control and the Buyer

- Create, update and process paper and online shipping and receiving orders from domestic and international suppliers and customers

- Coordinate pickups, track shipments and troubleshoot problems by contacting suppliers and shipping companies

- Store materials on stockroom shelves and bins, keeping area clean and organized

- Perform some stockroom tasks such as picking orders correctly and quickly, and cycle counting

- Conduct periodic inventory reviews to ensure warehouse balances

- Maintain organization, current paper files to ensure others can locate paperwork quickly

- Follow detailed procedures in order, accurately and consistently

- Other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills:

- Basic knowledge of warehouse management, strong attention to detail

- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Forklift experience preferred

- Experience with ERP / MRP systems such as PRMS or SAP preferred

- Previous experience with the online systems of FedEx, UPS and other carriers is desired

- May be required to lift or push up to 50 pounds

- HS Diploma / GED and / or 0-2 years relevant experience

Schedule:

1st Shift, Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with some overtime or weekends being requested or required.

Pay is $20.00 per hour, immediate benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life. GREAT benefits upon full time hire!!
