Join Our Team as a Project Manager II - Construction Management

Marathon Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager II to oversee construction projects in Charlotte, NC. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and abilities who are eager to contribute to a safe, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.

About the Role:

In this role, you will coordinate resources and third-party vendors to ensure the flawless execution of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include managing project scope, schedule, and budget, while fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will also play a key role in maintaining safety standards and promoting a respectful, inclusive workplace.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to understand project requirements and clarify objectives
  • Develop project scopes, objectives, and detailed plans involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure resource availability and proper allocation
  • Track project progress and performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs effectively
  • Communicate project status regularly to team and stakeholders
  • Report and escalate issues to management as needed
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Complete formal project closure and share lessons learned
  • Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Coach and support team members to meet milestones and deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience or Associate Degree with 10 years of experience
  • Previous experience in construction project management
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) required at application or within 6 months of hire; PMP certification preferred
  • ITIL Foundation certification required or to be obtained within 9 months
  • Relevant certifications in knowledge, skills, and abilities are a plus
