Job Description

Marathon Staffing, a premier special events staffing company, is currently seeking experienced and dependable Custodians/Janitors for various positions.

Position Summary

We are seeking reliable Custodians for evening shifts to maintain clean, safe, and well-maintained facilities. Candidates must have at least 2 years of custodial or janitorial experience in a facility and be comfortable performing general maintenance and upkeep duties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, offices, common areas, and other facility spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and surfaces.
  • Remove trash and dispose of waste properly.
  • Perform floor care and general building maintenance.
  • Assist with room setups and event-related cleaning as needed.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or facility concerns.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, custodial equipment, and large machinery safely.
  • Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial or institutional facility.
  • General maintenance and facility upkeep experience.
  • Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and large custodial equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds using proper equipment and safe lifting techniques.
  • Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work evening shifts.
  • Ability to pass a background check and successfully complete a drug screening. No felony or misdemeanor convictions, as required for this assignment.
