Job Description

Marathon Staffing is looking for a

Parks Maintenance Worker I

 

What you will be doing

Responsible for litter collection, playground cleaning, sprinkler repair, drip system maintenance, shrub trimming, mowing grass, applying fertilizers. Must be able to perform moderate to heavy manual labor outdoors in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time.

 

You will be responsible for…

·         Construction, maintenance, repair and related service activities for parks and basins.

·         Perform litter collection clean-up for parks and basin areas.

·         Responsible for trimming shrubs, mowing grass and applying fertilizers to designated areas.

·         Sprinkler repair and drip system maintenance.

·         Work under adverse weather conditions (example: extreme heat).

·         Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

·         Performs related duties as required.

What skills & experience you will bring to us

·         High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

·         Good (1-3 Years) experience in the care and maintenance of one of the following areas relative to the assignment:  turf and grounds maintenance at parks, basins: or similar experience.

·         Must have a valid Class D Arizona Driver’s License.

·         Experience working outdoors in all inclement types of weather.

What you need to know

·         Hourly Pay $17.66

·         Sunday – Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

·         Full Time, Temporary 3 Month Assignment

·         Located in Mesa

·         Benefits Available – Medical, Dental, Vision
