Job Description

Marathon Staffing and a global leading lumber company located at Salisbury N.C. NOW HIRING!!!

We are looking for reliable associates who enjoy working OVERTIME, depending on work volume. Also due to Covid 19 we are taking precaution on how we are handling the interview process; this help keep our employees and candidates safe. Below is a short description of the General Labor position that we have available.

Weekly paychecks!  
This is a great temp to hire opportunity! 

1st Shift: 6:00am until done, Monday-Friday. Occasional Saturdays
40-50 hours per week. NO SUNDAYS.
Pay rate: $15-$17 Per Hour depending on experience.

Job Details:
• Follows the requirements of assigned schedule to meet production demand.
• Sets up machinery based upon established specifications.
• Unloads and loads machines with materials
• Adjusts equipment to maintain proper quality standards.
• Cleans production area and assigned equipment.
• Notifies Supervisor of any problems.
• Completes projects and tasks as assigned.
• Advises the Production Manager on issues and improvements pertaining to areas of responsibility.
• Ensures accuracy of information.
• Advises superior on issues regarding safety.
• Ensures the compliance of procedures to all company policies.
• Any other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor or other higher level managers.
• Cleanliness and physical condition of the assigned area.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.


Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work in a safe manner
  • Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions
  • Demonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools
  • Ability to pay attention to surroundings
  • Ability to identify safety issues in their work area, and notice equipment malfunctions
  • Punctual and reliable

Please note – This position is located in Salisbury, NC. Team members must have reliable transportation.
