Maintenance Manager

Job Description
Marathon Staffing is seeking dynamic candidates for a Direct Hire, Maintenance Manager in Union City, CA!

The Maintenance Manager will plan, manage and direct the activities of employees in Maintenance and Engineering function areas.  Key measurements will be productivity, cost, quality and safety plan.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Develops and implements preventative maintenance schedules for equipment.  
- Works with production supervisors in identifying, reducing and/or eliminating non-scheduled down time. 
- Ensures labor and materials cost are within the departmental budget. 
- Plans and directs the maintenance and repairs to machinery and equipment in the production and processing departments. 
- Reviews daily and monthly maintenance materials cost for the Plant and initiates cost control measures for the Plant. 
- Reviews production delay records, identifies causes for delays, and assists foremen with corrective measures. 
- Reviews daily and monthly maintenance materials cost for the Plant and initiates cost control measures. 
- Identifies training needs of Maintenance department employees and works with the Superintendent, Maintenance and Engineering and Human Resource Director to insure that training needs are met. 
- Enters purchase requisitions. 
- Advises Superintendent, Maintenance and Engineering of significant maintenance problems with potential to cause delays or shutdowns and works expediently to resolve any potential problem. 
- Supervise support personnel. 
- Ensures that Company plant and safety rules and procedures are enforced in the Maintenance Department and that violators are disciplined in a fair and consistent manner. 
- Assists supervisor in evaluating grievances and with furnishing replies to grievant and/or Union Representatives. 
- Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent, Maintenance and Engineering. 

.  Strong communication skills are required due to the routing communication with professionals as well as hourly work force.  Moderate level of computer skills in Microsoft Office required.  
Minimum Qualifications

- B.S. Degree in Engineering REQUIRED!!
- Minimum of 6 years industrial maintenance experience required
- Ability to plan and direct electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance work and to identify and repair electrical and mechanical maintenance problems in an expedient manner.
- Ability to direct a large Maintenance workforce engaged in repair, modification and construction of machinery and equipment.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the workforce, including hourly employees
- Ability to use Microsoft Office
- Ability to pass a full background check and drug test

Hours are roughly 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise agreed upon.  Must be able to work on either 1st or 2nd Shift, based on need. On call duties required.

Salary range of $120,000 to $140,000 annually, plus bonuses and incentives!  Full benefits package including 401K, pet insurance and more!!!
