3rd Shift, Diesel Forklift Operator

Job Description
Marathon Staffing is seeking experienced, reliable candidates for 3rd Shift, Temp-to-Perm, Diesel Forklift Operator positions available immediately in Belchertown, MA!!

The Diesel Forklift Operators are responsible for operating large, diesel Forklifts, rated to move a few tons of product, to load 40 - 50 flatbeds per day!!

Job Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

*Loading rail cars and flat bed trailers with large, heavy product
*Assist with product pulling and working on production lines, as needed
*Moves finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory (yard or warehouse)
*Maintains rough material and finished goods inventory
*Ensure yard is organized and clean
*Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy
*Performs other duties, as requested

Requirements include, but may not be limited to:

*Prior experience operating Diesel Forklifts (Hyster, Caterpillar, etc.) or similar equipment
*Ability to recognize size/grade/quality of material
*Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions
*Demonstrate ability to stack material properly
*Ability to identify safety issues in their work area, and notice equipment malfunctions
*Ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions in English; ability read and write basic English
*Ability to frequently get on and off a forklift, to withstand operations in rough surfaces, to work in a wide range of weather condition, and operate a forklift for extended periods of time

Hours are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, and Fridays as requested.

Pay rate starts at $18.00 per hour, could increase with experience. Pay increase and GREAT benefits upon full time hire!!
