Due to rapid growth, Marathon is Hiring Immediately for Maintenance Technicians at a Steel Mill company located in Chattanooga, Tn. Learn new skills, meet new people, and work with a great management team.

Job Details:

  • This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity!
  •  2nd Shift Monday to Friday (40-50 hours per week) and Saturdays may be required, depending on work volume.
  • Pay: Starting at $20.00 to $22.00/hr

Responsibilities:

  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical/electrical devices in operation.
  • Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
  • Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
  • Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
  • Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
  • Provides mechanical/electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a safe manner
  • Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions
  • Demonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools and pneumatic
  • Punctual and reliable
