Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Marathon Staffing is seeking candidates for a 2nd Shift, Direct Hire, Maintenance Technician position available immediately in Wooster, OH!!!!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on plant systems and mechanical equipment as skill level dictates using diagrams, sketches, manuals and manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform minor electrical repairs such as replacing fuses, switches, solenoids, and gates
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
  • Set up and operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, horizontal band saws, end mills vertical band saws, pipe threaders, and other metalworking tools to maintain or repair parts
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to diagnose machine malfunction
  • Operate and maintain RTO functions utilizing visual and electronic displays
  • Promote safety and safety awareness by keeping the work area clean, wearing safety glasses and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), properly handling tools, machinery and equipment, and following posted safety and security procedures; report unsafe conditions and/or associate actions; ensure standard operating procedures are followed, monitored; ensure adherence to company policy and regulations.
Requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • Must be able to observe, learn and use all lockout/tag-out safety procedures related to the job duties.
  • Utilize software programs, such as Step Seven, RS Logix, RS Linx
  • High School Diploma or GED required; 5-10 years of related experience and/or training
  • Drug Screening
  • Criminal Background Check
Shift hours are 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Monday Through Friday. Some Saturdays if needed.

Salary is $60,000 annually with GREAT benefits available!!
