Job Description

Marathon Staffing is seeking reliable candidates for Quality Department / General Labor positions available immediately in Lynchburg, VA!!

Position duties include, but are not limited to:

•    Working with Machine Operators to verify quality, thread depth, pipe length
•    Ensuring proper fit into flange and applying glue, coating and finishing
•    Operate fork truck to move bundles of pipe around the facility
•    Assures that product is stored according to size, class, joint and status
•    Picking orders from storage and loading for shipment
•    Sort out rejected product from bundles
•    Other duties, as requested

Candidate requirements include, but are not limited to:

•    Manufacturing/construction experience strongly preferred
•    Forklift operation experience preferred
•    Must have ability to work accurately from detailed instructions
•    Must be able to cooperate and coordinate duties with other members of the crew
•    Should be able to perform work with minimum Supervision
•    MUST BE SAFETY CONSCIOUS AT ALL TIMES

Candidates MUST pass a background check and drug test to be considered

Shift Hours:

*** Starting shift CANNOT be guaranteed!!! The company will assign you to which shift has the highest need ***

•    1st Shift hours are generally from 6:00 AM- 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. However, Saturdays may be requested or required!

•    2nd Shift hours are generally from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. However, Saturdays may be requested or required!

•    3rd Shift Hours are generally from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, Mon through Friday. However, Saturdays may be requested or required!

Pay rate is $14.00 per hour and may increase upon full time hire. Temp-to-hire positions may be offered to exceptional performers!!
