Public Works CDL Driver – Fountain Inn, SC

We are now seeking Solid Waste Equipment Operators for in Greenville, SC. This company has openings for 1st shift. Qualified Candidate will:

• As assigned, operates a variety of regular-drive solid waste vehicles, to include Rear Loader Garbage Truck, Clam, Truck, Roll-Off Truck and Flatbed Truck in order to collect and dispose of residential solid waste and recycling materials.
• Transport materials to designated transfer station or disposal facility.
• Comply with all safety guidelines including inspection of equipment, use of personal protective equipment, follow safe practices and reporting safety issues to the appropriate supervisor(s). (80%)
• Ensure truck is equipped with necessary equipment for day’s assignment, including hardhat, hearing and eye protection, and rake
• Perform daily pre and post-trip vehicle inspection and maintain accurate vehicle log (15%)
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a Class B South Carolina CDL with air brake provisions
• Must be able lift from 10 up to 50lbs
• Able to work outside, exposed to unpleasant environmental condition and/or hazards.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm & Friday’s 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
Pay rate: $15.00 per hour
