Job Description
Marathon Staffing is seeking experienced Shift Supervisors for immediate positions in Orangeburg, SC!!

Supervisors are responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of an operating department and plans, directs and coordinates support services. Training and development of its employees.

Position duties include, but may not be limited to:

Implements methods to achieve plans and goals of the department and to maintain quality and customer standards/expectations.
Reviews pre-shift machine inspections and addresses machine concerns according to internal procedure.
Ensures that machinery in area of operation is properly maintained.
Work with crew leader to coordinate schedule changes
Coordinates order or cut of raw stock prior to production
Staffs assigned work cells to meet production levels consistent with cost objectives.
Directs the activity of a group of employees and motivates for maximum productivity.
Coaches and assists employees to help them perform their job functions more safely, productively, and efficiently.
Leads employees in continuous improvements and safety initiatives.
Ensures all employees have received adequate machine specific safety training prior to operate equipment.
Conducts Sunrise meetings and monthly safety talks, and provides training to employees.
Manages employees’ time and attendance through the T&A system.
Checks employee end of day checklist and signs off on production
Evaluates performance of individuals and various programs.
Disciplines employees when necessary, and conducts annual performance reviews.
Manages inventory in area of responsibility, ensures inventory is rotated in accordance with operational policy, and participates in month-end inventory.
May drive a forklift to assist moving material to and from the production area
Performs other duties, as required.
Supervises Material Coordinators and coordinates their daily activities · Provides feedback to the Supply Chain Manager on resource and training needs · In conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager, performs annual performance review of Material Coordinators · Builds, motivates and retains a team that consistently meets deadlines WORKING CONDITIONS: · Warehouse environment · Regularly operates computer equipment · Requires wearing of personal protective equipment per company policy and procedures.
Assists with management, personnel issues, training, operations, safety/shrink control, inventory control. Team player, fast learner, flexible, with the ability to train candidates. Meet tight deadlines and meet production. Ability to multitask and assists in managing operations that provides support to field locations, ensuring orders are selected, packaged, loaded, and dispatched safely, timely, and efficiently, economically, and that proper records are maintained.


The ideal candidate will possess the following:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience; 3 to 5 years preferred.
Working knowledge of production reporting and production scheduling
Working knowledge of excel, word and outlook.
Working knowledge of Construction and/or Carpentry!!!

Ability to pass a drug test

Available shifts are as follows:

6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturdays
5:00 PM to 3:30 AM, Monday through Friday, and 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM on Saturdays

Pay range of $18 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
