Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION OUTLINE FULL TIME.

JOB TITLE: Maintenance MECHANIC

POSITION SUMMARY: Perform actions to maintain various injection molding machines, processes, assembly, automation, systems, related manufacturing equipment, and other plant equipment under the general direction of a supervisor or manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 Diagnose problems, dismantle equipment, repair or replace defective parts and reassemble.
 Practice safety at all times taking the necessary precautions and following all safety directives.
 Consult manufacturing engineering as needed on major repairs or if additional help is needed.
 Investigate, diagnose, and monitor, electronic issues related to the controls of all equipment.
 Alter, rework, re-program, and record program changes as needed.

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

 Perform assigned inspections and preventative maintenance. Report anything questionable, complete required records and reports.
 Perform hand operations and work with various power tools as required.
 Requires proper environmental practices and involves the proper disposal of machine oils and other aspects used in operations.
 Understand and adhere to TS16949 / ISO14001 procedures specific to department.

Employees are expected to participate in and/or lead group activities such as problem solving teams, to support our goals of employee empowerment, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

In the course of normal job responsibilities, working with hazardous waste may be required. As a result of this, to insure proper safety and environmental protection, annual training in the proper handling of hazardous waste may be required. Training will be provided by the employer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Must be able to read blueprints and work with detailed information.
 Must be able to work with oils and substances such as grease, lubricants and cleaners.
 Must be able to maneuver around machines and equipment to make necessary repairs.
 Must be able to use an electric fork truck.
 Lifting up to 50 lbs.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION: High school education or equivalent is preferred.
